I just thought of doing this as I was writing this. Seem logical and I can't think of why it won't work. Source track "A" to "External Out 1" MONO, THEN New Track "A", Audio From to "External IN 1" MONO. Then assign a MONO INPUT to the new track ! I didn't think to assign each source track to a specific "External Out Mono". Previously, by using #3 above, I bounced 5 vocal tracks at once. I have the Alesis Light Bridge that can transfer up to 36 audio tracks at once. This is what I used to bounce one track to another track.Ī light bulb just went on !! The OTHER curious thing that happened, is with the back-up vocals. Offsetting LEFT & RIGHT of a STEREO track by a small amount is a trick I use in mixing quite often. There must be a way to split STEREO into 2 MONO TRACKS. I can just split it into 2 separate tracks and delete one of them. Since I didn't want to do all the Melodyne edits all over again, I muted everything else and BOUNCED my vocal tracks (4 vocal tracks) into some new ones. The Melodyne plug in DOES NOT change the bar numbers so it was playing back the vocals at the OLD song positions. I needed to add some bars before any vocals. I used Melodyne Editor on my vocal tracks. Each vocal track recorded as a MONO track it started out as a mono track. I did some editing and digitally recorded the tracks into Ableton. I initially recorded the vocals in a a stand-alone hardware DAW (Roland VS2480). I want to SPLIT a stereo track into 2 Mono tracks that results in LEFT signal in one track and the Right signal in a separate track.
